Arrived safe, and surprising well, in Algarve to a great welcome from friends and relatives. What a journey. A few days of rain, one or two nearly all day, but largely a trouble-free journey all the way accompanied by a number of cycling friends on different parts of the journey.
Thank you to everyone for their support and generous donations over the last month or so, it has been great to get so much support and to have achieved the £5,000 target. Thank you!
You can still donate and Tyneside Outdoors will always need your support to help with its work so please don't feel like you've missed the opportunity. Maybe you could try your own adventure?!!!!

Paul is getting very near to the end of his epic journey. Tomorrow he'll complete the last leg of the journey and celebrate with his friends and family with a well-earned rest and maybe a few cold ones at Helders.
Please send Paul your support and best wishes for his last day!

Half way there! 75 miles covered over rolling Cantabria countryside. There was a tense moment when at one stop they were showing the Vuelta a España and it nearly stopped them in their tracks! Two more days in Spain then Portugal.

Made it to Portsmouth! 397 miles down from Tyneside to the ferry terminal and a day's rest on the journey to Santander in Spain. The Temple Raiders are well behind but have a couple of group activities up their sleeve yet!
Here's Paul's Stava link for the last leg of the journey through England. https://strava.app.link/MB9kuLvYvMb

We're officially launched! We had a nice turn out of our Temple Raiders at TO bike to join me on Monday. Over the next few weeks we'll be trying to recruit more riders and crucially more supporters for the challenge. If you want to get involved by riding or supporting the Race to Portugal please get in touch.
